Nearest neighbor analysis

Copy the file Q:\StudentCoursework\Haffnerm\DATA\torn.csv to your folder on the Q: drive. Then, add it to a map document in ArcGIS Pro.

1. Retrieve a US states dataset and select just Wisconsin. Create a new layer from this selection.
2. Clip the tornado locations to just those within Wisconsin.
3. Transform the x,y data of the tornado locations into the CRS of the states dataset.
4. Perform nearest neighbor analysis using the “Average nearest neighbor” tool. Be sure to check the box “Generate Report”, but leave all other options at their defaults.
5. Perform nearest neighbor analysis again using proper parameters.
