Geospatial Ethics Seminar

In this geospatial ethics workshop, you will participate in discussions, create discussion board posts, and reflect on the content.

Part I

  1. Describe one ethical scenario discussed with your group in class that produced considerable debate and/or competing perspectives (1 pt.).

  2. Create one discussion board post describing a difficult ethical situation you have encountered in the workplace (whether it be GIS or some other field) and how you handled it (1 pt.).

  3. In-class discussion (6 pts.)

Part II

  1. Describe one ethical scenario discussed with your group in class that produced considerable debate and/or competing perspectives (1 pt.).

  2. Respond to at least two of your classmates’ discussion board posts on Canvas with thoughtful comments, critiques, or questions (2 pts.).

  3. In-class discussion (5 pts.)
